STR Radiation

What is Image-Guided SRT?
With Springville Dermatology and Medical Spa, we proudly offer Image-Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy in the comfort of our office. We provide lasting services that make a difference. Our Image-Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that allows for low levels of X-ray energy to kill any cancer cells, while supporting normal tissue to grow in its place. With our advanced imaging technology, you will notice the accuracy in treatment as the Image-Guided SRT treats any tumors or lesions located close to the surface of the skin. This treatment can be highly effective for those dealing with skin cancer that do not want to struggle with downtown recovery, surgical incisions, and side effects.
The SRT Process
We strive to make the Superficial Radiation Therapy process easy and smooth. By having you sit in a chair, we will apply a gel to the site of the cancer and use an imaging wand to look at the detailed image of the treated area on a screen. Using that image, we will measure the size and shape of the tumor and define the treatment area.Β
The treatments will occur a couple times a week for a 4-7 week period. Each SRT treatment session may take about 15 minutes beginning at the time you enter our office to when you leave. It is quick and easy due to the high accuracy and advanced imaging technology. At Springville Dermatology and Medical Spa. We strive to make the process as easy for you.Β
